Former ‘Commander in Chief’ Cohorts to Reunite on ‘Women’s Murder Club’

When Ever Carradine and Kyle Secor last shared the screen on television, both were still series regulars on the presidential drama, Commander in Chief.  More than a year since their once-bright series was yanked off the air, the two actors will come together anew as recurring characters on ABC’s new police drama, Women’s Murder Club.

Women’s Murder Club, which is scheduled to debut October 1, has been dubbed as Sex and the City meets NYPD Blue, Law & Order and CSI.  The comparison is not all that surprising especially with Law & Order star, Angie Harmon, leading a pack of four attractive and intelligent women on the show.

Women’s Murder Club features the four ladies from various but somewhat related professions, who come together in an effort to solve difficult murder cases.  The series is based on material from criminal suspense author, James Patterson, responsible for novels about fictional psychologist and FBI profiler, Alex Cross.  Two such books, Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls, have already become full-length motion pictures.

In Women’s Murder Club, the 50-year old Secor, who played presidential husband and Chief of Staff Rod Allen on Commander in Chief, will provide spice for one of the crime-solving women in the series.  He will essay the role of a charismatic lawyer who has a clandestine relationship with Jill, played by Laura Harris of 24 and Dead Like Me.

Meanwhile, the 33-year old Carradine, who gained prominence as the efficient and tireless press secretary, Kelly Ludlow, on Commander in Chief, will join Women’s Murder Club as the fiancée of Rob Estes’ character, Tom Hogan.  Hogan is Lindsay Boxer’s (Harmon) former husband and a politically versed police lieutenant.

Paula Newsome (The Lyon’s Den) and Aubrey Dollar (Point Pleasant) also star as the two other ladies who make up the Women’s Murder Club.  Rounding off the regular cast are Rob Estes (Silk Stalkings, Melrose Place), Rob Benedict (Felicity, Threshold), Tyrees Allen (The Practice, Alias) and Linda Park (Enterprise).
