Eric Drysdale is a producer, comedian and writer who was born on March 20, 1969 in New York City. He has a sister named Rebecca who works as an actress, and he currently lives in the Big Apple together with his wife and their pet dog. For more than half a decade, Drysdale was heavily involved with The Daily Show together with Jon Stewart, participating and contributing to their critically acclaimed coverage of the 2000 and 2004 election periods. Drysdale likewise collaborated on America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction. Aside from his work on television, he has been involved with the Uptight Citizens Brigade theater group, writing and producing three full-length projects for them. Drysdale was also a part-time member of the band Tammy Faye Starlite and the Angels of Mercy, performing satirical country rock together with them.

Bobby is portrayed by Eric Drysdale in the Comedy Central television series The Colbert Report. He is the long-suffering stage manager of the show. The show’s titular anchorman often forces him to answer various questions or to do degrading things. Another one of Bobby’s other responsibilities is to look after Colbert’s “son,” Stephen Jr., and look after his whereabouts.
