We know Clay Aiken can belt out a tune and that he looks great in a sequined tuxedo, but does he know what it takes to be America’s Next Top Model? We’ll find out this April when Clay will guest judge an episode of the fierce franchise.

US Weekly confirmed that Clay will appear as a guest judge on the April 8 episode of ANTM. Ever the hard worker, Clay’s duties on the show will be two fold: he will work with the Top Model hopefuls in an acting challenge, before taking a seat as the episode’s guest judge.

Clay Aiken will follow in the footsteps of other glorious ANTM guest judges such as Taye Diggs and Tia Mowry, who also helped aspiring models through the always painful acting challenge. Seeing that Clay’s background is in musical theater, he just wrapped his run in Broadway’s “Spamalot,” we wonder if this cycle’s acting challenge will also involve singing? Our ear drums ache just thinking about the possibility. On the other hand, while we’re not certain about Clay’s fashion credentials, we know he could offer decent advice to the models about singing on reality television. He was runner-up on American Idol after all.

Clay won’t be the only singing celebrity guesting on the April 8 episode. Singer Ciara will also be visiting the show during the models photo shoot. Perhaps there really will be some Top Model karaoke in our future–it could definitely lend to some hilarious and painful moments. Hopefully it also means Tyra will also remind us that she once made a music video, with the contestants of Cycle 2 nonetheless. We foresee many clips of Tyra’s music video and an introduction at judging about how multifaceted Tyra is–model, talk show host, mogul, and singer. You can do it all girls! But if you do, please remember it is all about Tyra.

Cycle 12 of America’s Next Top Model begins February 25th on the CW, though I know all you ClayMates out there will be waiting eagerly for April 8th.
