After less than two years of marriage, and one season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kordell Stewart is filing for divorce from Housewives star Porsha Stewart.

RHOA Recap: Battling Booty Shoots >>>

Kordell, a former NFL quarterback, filed a petition last week in Fulton County, Georgia, seeking a divorce, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

Kodell was also apparently the only male cast member to skip the RHOA reunion, for what he said at the time was a previous engagement.

The show may have done more damage to Kordell and Porsha’s marriage than good, often portraying Kordell as controlling and insensitive to his wife’s miscarriage. But either Porsha didn’t see this coming (which, let’s be honest, isn’t much of a stretch) or she has been keeping up appearances for the last few weeks. She said as recently as last week that she is proud to call herself a “black trophy wife.”

“Being a trophy wife, per se, is not just about your outer looks. It’s about the man who has put you on the pedestal and him admiring you and thinking well enough of you to put you up there,” Porsha told ABC News Radio. “And I think it’s important for our little girls to know that they can be princesses and they can have it all. So I feel proud to represent — and I use the word lightly — the black trophy wife.”

One of Porsha’s main storylines this season was her desire to start a family with Kordell. But now that it looks like that future is null for now, it looks like Porsha can finally focus on her career. Now what exactly that career may be, besides being a “trophy wife,” she never made quite clear.
