Perhaps third time’s a charm for Nick Viall, who’s seriously considering to become the next Bachelor following failed attempts on love on two consecutive season of The Bachelorette. The software sales executive admits he doesn’t want people to get the wrong impression but he still remains optimistic about finding love on reality TV.

“I don’t want to get pigeonholed,” Viall told HuffPost’s Here to Make Friends podcast  . “But at the same time, it can certainly work.”

“To be perfectly honest, I would seriously consider it. It’s obviously an incredible opportunity,” revealed the two-time Bachelorette runner-up when asked if he would accept an offer to hand out roses for season 20. “As a 34-year-old, having dated and having had relationships not work out, you learn about yourself. You learn about what you want and I feel fortunate to be in a position in my life where I know who I am and I’m very comfortable in my own skin and I know what I’m looking for.”

Viall, however, has plenty of competition including Ben Higgins, Jared Haibon, Ben Zorn and Chris Strandberg, who are all rumored to be considered for the coveted Bachelor title.

“Obviously, Ben H.’s name comes up a lot,” Viall acknowledged. “I think he would be a great choice […] I have a lot of respect for Ben H. He is as sweet as everyone thinks he is. I might be giving myself too much credit, but Ben kind of reminds me of when I was 26.”

Meanwhile, Viall reveals he’s in a better place despite getting his heart broken by Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette season 11.

“I am not currently dating anyone specific or exclusive. I’m not really actively dating,” he said.
