Winchester Wednesday is a special thing. You need to make sure you handle it in the right way if you want the best Supernatural experience possible on this, unholiest of days. And trust me, you do. Here are 5 essential things every Supernatural fan needs to do before a new episode.

1. Get Some Pie

This one is pretty obvious. If you’re about to watch CW’s Supernatural and you don’t have a huge, warm pie in front of you, are you really watching Supernatural? Don’t let Dean down. Get some pie.

2. Salt the Windows and TV

You want to keep the demons in your television, where Sam and Dean will keep you safe from them. You don’t need them in your living room. That’s not a good time.

3. Blast “Carry on My Wayward Son” on Repeat Until the Episode Starts

Nothing gets a Supernatural fan in the mood for a new episode more than this token Kansas song which plays during the season recap at the beginning of the episode. If you’ve got some time before the episode actually starts, feel free to keep it on repeat and sing your heart out.

4. Draw an Anti-Possession Tattoo on Yourself

Not only will you feel safer, you’ll feel way more badass, because Sam and Dean have these on their chest. Not to mention, if someone sees it on you and recognizes it, you’ve made a new friend who obviously has excellent taste in television! An all around a good decision.
