Born on April 8, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Arquette got her first break in show business in the film Pretty Smart but gained popularity in the film A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors where she played the lead character. Her other acting credits included True Romance, Lost Highway, Stigmata, Bringing Out the Dead, and Flirting with Disaster and Deeper than Deep.
Arquette plays Allison DuBois on the series Medium. As the center of attention of the plot, she depicts a research medium that claims to use psychic powers to help the local law enforcement. Her acceptance of the controversial and much-criticized figure proves that she is bold and unafraid to be typecast. Arquette’s persuasive acting as a “medium” that has the ability to communicate with the dead certainly makes the show worth watching.
