Kimora Lee Simmons has led quite a charmed life.  At the tender age of 13, just as most girls are struggling through puberty, she broke into the spotlight as Karl Lagerfeld’s personal choice to model for Chanel.  Having retired from modeling, she has channeled her creative and enterprising juices to become a powerful designer and businesswoman with a highly successful fashion brand.

The Style Network’s Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane takes an unabashed look at her enviable, glamorous life.

Kimora Lee Simmons has made a dream transition from a bankable runway model to a one-woman enterprising powerhouse.  From the time she was handpicked by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, she seemed destined for a life of success.  Whether it was strutting to show off other people’s designs back then, or creating her own works of art now as designer of her own label, Baby Phat, Simmons appears to have the winning touch on anything she does.

In Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, viewers get an inside look into just how Kimora runs her fashion empire.  Each episode shows the statuesque model-turned-mogul as she navigates various day to day aspects of her clothing enterprise.

For instance, one installment focuses on her planning an advertising campaign and going into the details of creating a Kimora Barbie.  In another offering, Kimora attempts to land the cover of a magazine and chooses her outfit for a Vanity Fair shindig.

In another episode, Kimora gets the jitters over an acceptance speech she must give at an awards ceremony.  In still another installment, Kimora heads to Cannes in France to launch a new collection.  Kimora also reveals some of her secrets to success in one episode and then scrambles to find suitable living space for her and her children in the city of angels.

In another two editions, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane features plans for a jewelry line that require the intervention and wisdom of a feng shui master.  Finally, Kimora unveils a new collection of children’s clothing in honor of her two daughters, Ming and Aoki.
