On the comedy side, March 17 will mark the returns of How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, and Two and a Half Men.  Each series is expected to produce nine additional episodes.  Rules of Engagement, a series I completely forgot existed, will be back on April 14 with six new installments.

As for the unstoppable CSI franchise, the first to premiere will be CSI: Miami, which will return on March 24 with the first of eight new episodes.  CSI: New York will follow on April 2 with seven episodes, and the original CSI will be back on April 3 with six new installments.

Procedural dramas such as Cold Case, Criminal Minds, and Without a Trace will return the week of March 30.  Cold Case will premiere on March 30 with the first of five new installments, Criminal Minds will be back on April 2 with seven episodes, and Without a Trace will return on April 3 with six additional hours.  Numb3rs will return inappropriate spelling to the airwaves on April 4 with the first of six episodes, while NCIS will be back on April 8 with seven more adventures.

On the supernatural side of things, Ghost Whisperer will come back on April 4 with six cleavage heavy hours.  Vampire drama Moonlight will bite into four more episodes beginning on April 11.

Other shows, such as The Unit, Cane, and Shark, are currently on hiatus to make way for the mid-season launches of Jericho, Big Brother, and Dexter.   Shark is set to produce four more episodes, but the air date has yet to be determined.
