Awards season seems to be the season of Miley Cyrus. Last month, the Hannah Montana star appeared as a presenter at the Oscars and sat down with Barbara Walters for a high profile interview. It was also announced recently that she and her father will be hosting the CMT Awards in April. This month, Miley will be attending the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, where she will be performing. The kids network also announced that the Naked Brothers Band will hit the stage live as well.
Besides performing at the Kids Choice Awards, Cyrus is a three time nominee. She is nominated for Favorite TV Actress along with Raven Symone, Emma Roberts, and friend Jamie Lynn Spears. Miley is also nominated for Favorite Female Singer and will find stiff competition in Beyonce, Fergie, and Alicia Keys. Hannah Montana is nominated for Favorite TV Show and will go up against fellow Disney show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as well as Nickelodeon shows iCarly and Drake and Josh.
Fans can currently vote online for the Kids Choice Awards. Other categories include: Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie, Favorite Reality Show, and Favorite Athele. Jack Black will host for the second time. Celebrities such as Shia LeBeouf, Drake Bell, Miranda Cosgrove, America Ferrera, and Josh Peck will appear and present at the ceremony. The show airs on Nickelodeon Saturday, March 29th at 8pm ET and will take place at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.
On the orange carpet, fans and press alike should expect a modest outfit on Cyrus. At the Oscars, she received some backlash from networks such as E! for dressing a little too mature for her age. Her newly darkened hair and short skirts have not gone over well with style experts.
