Last week, Drake & Josh star Drake Bell was at Ocala, Florida, headlinining the Kidefetti Music & Fun Fest’s Saturday concert.  The 21-year-old actor enjoyed himself so much that he’s willing to have another go at the stage next year.

“I love being part of [Kidfetti],” Bell told Ocala.com. “I’d like to come back again next year.”

He also had no problems with being away from home, as he claims there’s not much difference between Ocala and California.

“It’s awesome,” he said of the weather in Ocala.  “This is just like home.  It’s like California.

Just as Kidfetti left a great impression on Drake Bell, the Drake & Josh star entertained the 5,000 plus young music fans and their families.  The event, which benefits a local non-profit children’s mental health care provider called The Centers Children’s Services, was held at Kidfetti Park, a transformed pasture along SW 60th Avenue.

While the concert lineup included other tween celebrities like Teddy Geiger, Hunter Hayes, Paula DeAnda and 535, Bell’s inclusion in the roster is what contributed greatly to the massive turnout. Six-year-old Audra Harvey went to the festival with her parents and seven-year-old cousin Pamela Swiss.  Both girls are big fans of Bell, mainly “because he’s cute.”

Eight-year-old Alex Cameron, meanwhile, said that he’s a fan of the television star for reasons other than his physical appearance.

“He’s really funny and plays lots of songs,” he said.

Apparently, Drake Bell is a hit among older audiences, too.  A group of women from Flagler College also attended the event for Bell, with each of them donning self-made T-shirts that had the phrase “Flagler Girls [Heart] Drake” on them.

“I’ve liked him for-evs.  Since Drake & Josh,” Lauren Winn, one of the Flagler students, told Ocala.com.

Mom Casey Brack and her husband gave their daughter, Taylor, tickets to Kidfetti as a birthday present.  Once there, the family eagerly watched as Bell rocked onstage.

“I think I’m just as excited as [Taylor] is,” Brack said.  “We watch [Drake & Josh] together all the time.”

Drake Bell’s performance kicked off at around 6pm.  He opened the concert with C.C. Rider as cannons shot colored confetti over the screaming crowd.
