As
CSI enters the year 2008, viewers can expect a treat from the forensic drama. In an upcoming star-studded episode, actor Brendan Wayne, who is also known as the grandson of John Wayne, professional rodeo cowboy Ty Murray, actress Nicole Sullivan (
The King of Queens), country music singer Shooter Jennings and Grammy Award nominee Jewel are set to appear on the show to set the mood for a rodeo storyline.

CSI is an Emmy Award-winning series that follows a team of Las Vegas forensic scientists as they trail investigations and unearth clues and evidences behind mysterious deaths and unusual crimes committed. Leading the squad is Gil Grissom (
William Petersen) who specializes in entomologist and serves as the night shift team supervisor. Joining Grissom in his explorations are Catherine Willows (
Marg Helgenberger), Warrick Brown (
Gary Dourdan), Nicholas "Nick" Stokes (
George Eads), Captain James "Jim" Brass (
Paul Guilfoyle), Gregory "Greg" Sanders (
Eric Szmanda), and Dr. Albert "Al" Robbins (

In an interview with
TV Guide, Jennings, the only child of country music legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, dishes out on what's in store in his
CSI stint.
“Jewel is in the episode, too,” Jennings told
TV Guide. “The
CSI music supervisor decided on me and [my band, the .357s] and called. I was like, ‘F--k, yeah, we'll do it!' The episode is set in Vegas during Rodeo Week and we're the band playing in a honky-tonk bar. We're performing two songs off the new record, ‘This Old Wheel' and ‘Higher,' and this massive fight breaks out between a prostitute and a buckle bunny [rodeo groupie]!”
The said episode that features chockfull of stars follows the CSI team as they investigate two murders during the annual bull riding rodeo in Las Vegas, which may be connected to illegal bull breeding. Jewel is set to make a cameo appearance performing the national anthem at the rodeo event.
