Smallville fans may remember that the season one episode "Obscura" featured future
Battlestar Galactica actor
Aaron Douglas in a small role as a police deputy. Since then, Douglas has been known for playing Chief Galen Tyrol on the hit Sci Fi Channel series, and has also popped up in small guest starring roles in shows such as
Reaper and
Bionic Woman. Now he's going back to his
Smallville roots to play a more pivotal character in episode 14 of the current season, entitled "Traveler."

We have seen his temper in action on BSG. I am sure it will be a good Smallville Episode

I noticed that you have given credit to Kryptonsite.com but could you please also credit the Aaron Douglas ...
Though his role in the episode is still unconfirmed, it's likely that Douglas will be playing the character of Pierce, who is basically the "freak of the week." It seems like Pierce is a rather unbalanced guy, and one who fears aliens so much that he decides to kidnap Clark and keep him in a specially built prison. It should be fun for
Battlestar Galactica fans to see Douglas, who is known for playing a rather nice character, have a chance to go psycho.
Of course, Douglas isn't the only actor to make a pilgrimage from
BSG to
Smallville. Actor
Tahmoh Penikett, better known as Lt. "Helo" Agathon to
Galactica fans, played the role of Wes Keenan in season six of the CW series. Fans may remember him as the military man who Lex was determined to turn into a super soldier.
As for Douglas, he's also booked a small role as a soldier of the non-super variety in the upcoming big screen remake of
The Day the Earth Stood Still. The film stars Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, and is set to be released sometime in 2008.
For those of us who can't wait to see Chief Tyrol attempt to defeat Superman, the
Smallville episode "Traveler" will be airing early in the new year.
What other cult show would you want a BSG actor to appear on?
