Last week I took a look at some of the most hated houseguests in the history of Big Brother. Now it’s time to look at the people fans love.

With the Fan Favorite currently open, it’s fun to look back at the HGs we loved. It’s amazing how spending three months watching people on the live feeds, 24/7, can cause such intense reactions. Though hate is definitely a strong one, the real Big Brother superfans much prefer to love. We have strong, sometimes unreasonable attachments to these HGs and are desperate to see them again, whether they return to host a competition or maybe come back as an All-Star.

Here are my Top 10 suggestions for Most Loved HG, but feel free to add your own in the comments section below.

Zach Rance, Big Brother 16

The current season always elicits strong feelings, and Zach has been very endearing despite being gone for several weeks. His pink hat, loud shouting and wacky antics quickly turned him from the most annoying douchebag to one of the most compelling characters of the season. A brief glimpse of him returning to the house for a luxury competition was the best thing to happen on Big Brother 16 since his eviction.

Donny Thompson, Big Brother 16

Another current cast member, Donny is one of the most unique and beloved characters of all-time. The beard, the way he won so many competitions, his simple, quiet demeanor, it all worked. He was just himself, and the fact that everyone in the house thought he was a super spy/brain surgeon/architect only made his legend grow.

Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd, Big Brother 11 and Big Brother 13

The most beloved couple on the show, Jeff is the only person to win Fan Favorite twice and their engagement on the show after five years of dating had fans melting.

Britney Haynes, Big Brother 12 and Big Brother 14

Being funny in the diary room isn’t easy, as illustrated by many, many HGs who’ve tried and failed. But Britney was the ultimate master, using her quick wit and biting tongue to make us all laugh. There’s a fine line between being a mean girl and being hilariously sarcastic, and Britney found it.

Rachel Reilly, Big Brother 12 and Big Brother 13

Sure, she was also on my list of the Most Hated HGs, but I can admit that the Brenchel Army is a fiercely powerful lobby in Big Brother fandom and that she has plenty of fans for her fearless, aggressive style of play and competitive dominance against the boys

Dan Gheesling, Big Brother 10 and Big Brother 14

Dan the Man is often regarded as the best player ever and deservedly so. His expert gameplay and powerful Mist took him to the finale twice.

Daniele Donato, Big Brother 8 and Big Brother 13

Evel Dick might be abrasive, but his daughter is the opposite. Whether you loved Blonde Daniele from season 8, a sweet young girl who won five PoVs or Black-Haired Daniele from season 13, rallying the newbies to go after Jeff, Jordan, Rachel and Brendon, she was never afraid to make big moves.

Dr. Will Kirby, Big Brother 2 and Big Brother All-Stars

The master of the social game, Will never won a single competition either time he played the game, but he won in season 2 and finished fourth in All-Stars. His cockiness and manipulations have inspired many HGs to try and repeat his accomplishments, but no one can ever match him.

Janelle Pierzina, Big Brother 6, Big Brother All-Stars and Big Brother 14

The winner of the first ever Fan Favorite award, she finished third two seasons in a row and single-handedly created the term “Competition Beast.”

Danielle Reyes, Big Brother 3 and Big Brother All-Stars

Perhaps the best player never to win, go back and watch season 3 if you haven’t to see her originate Derrick’s style of gameplay, always staying safe and making the other HGs look like fools.

Which of these do you love the most? Or do you love a different Big Brother HG more?
