Lauren Bowles is the latest waitress to join Sam’s watering hole on True Blood, according to Entertainment Weekly.  Bowles, also known as the half-sister of New Adventures of Old Christine star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, will be making her debut on the vampire series as Holly midway through the third season, which premieres on June 13.
Bowles is credited for Seinfeld, Arrested Development, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Watching Ellie.

Last month, BuddyTV reported that True Blood was on the look out for an actress to fill the role of Holly, who is described as a mother of two who applies for a job at Merlotte’s as a waitress. This casting is particularly striking since she’s expected to appear in a recurring capacity with a possibility to being promoted to a series regular in the fourth season, besides the fact that she’s also has a weird discerning observations that scares the daylights out of Arlene.

Whether Holly is human or some kind of supernatural form, fans will just have to wait and see. But it’s interesting to note that almost all of Merlotte’s employees have something unique to bring to the table, whether it’s their telepathic skills (Sookie), colorful love life (Arlene), flamboyant personality (Lafayette) or tragic fate (Amy Burley and Daphne Landry).

Season 3 Spoilers

Is Lauren Bowles a good fit for Holly based on the description? Any predictions on what’s in store for her on True Blood?
