Tonight on The Vampire Diaries, we finally hear Stefan utter those three little words we’ve been longing to hear: “I’m a vampire!” The Salvatore secret is almost out and we see everything unravel in the episode “Lost Girls,” which picks up right where we left off last week.

Elena has finally figured out that there’s something bizarrely off about her boyfriend Stefan and so she heads to his house and demands to know the truth. Stefan finally comes clean and gives the answers Elena wants though it only scares the crap out of her.

It takes some for Elena to calm down and give Stefan another chance to do more explaining but when she does, she finally learns how his rivalry with Damon began, just as viewers do. And after disproving all vampire myths and theories, Stefan takes Elena to a tour of Mystic Falls through a flashback sequence that also reveals the Salvatore family history. Hopefully, Stefan will also throw viewers a piece of information to chew on about Katherine and why she looks exactly like Elena.

Meanwhile, there’s another question left hanging from last week’s episode that will hopefully be resolved in “Lost Girls.” What did Damon do to Vicki? We find out as Damon impulsively takes control of Vicki’s future. Junkie Vicki is already troubled and disturbed as it is so it would be more interesting to see her even more dazed and confused.

Speaking of Damon, it doesn’t look like he’s learned his lesson. He wants revenge and his showing how furious (and hungry) he is by having buffet of teenagers. But the bottom-line is he wants his ring back and Stefan won’t give it. As for the rest of the rest of the townies, Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo) take measures to protect the town.
