Earlier this week it was announced that there is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie in the works. Normally, this would have Buffy and Joss fans in a frenzy of excitement. But there’s a catch! It’s not likely that any of the cast from the hit TV show will be a part of it, and neither will creator/director Joss Whedon.

This got me thinking, well what’s the point? You take away the ingredients that made the television show a success, what are you left with? The disaster that was the first Buffy film? Or a reinvented success?

It’s time to get all-a-twitter! BuddyTV wants to know: are you for or against the new Buffy movie? The game is simple. You have two choices: Yes, I want to see the new Buffy or No, not without Joss. You have today, Thursday May 28, to play. The race ends at 11:59 PST. Here’s how to play:

Step 1: Log on to Twitter. Don’t have an account, get one: www.twitter.com It’s FREE!
Step 2: Tweet one of these messages

Heck yea @BuddyTV! #Yes2Buffy The new movie will be exciting even without Joss and cast. The race is on:

OR

Oh no they don’t @BuddyTV! #No2Buffy This movie has to have Joss and cast. The race is on:

Step 3: Tweet and Retweet often! By tweeting your message often it can become a trending topic. If both messages make it we can see who is winning the race.
Step 4: Leave a comment below or send @BuddyTV a reply telling us why, or why not, this movie should be made without Joss
Step 5: Make sure you are following BuddyTV on twitter (www.twitter.com/buddytv) to get all the updates on how the race is going

When the race is over, BuddyTV will post an article using your comments and tweets! So make sure you check back and see if you’re quoted.

Get ready, get set, GO!
