Bravo has announced that The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 6 will return on Sunday, July 13, with a massive cast shake-up.

The only returning members of the cast from the past three seasons are Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. There is another familiar face re-joining the cast, Dina Manzo, who was a cast member in season one and left while filming season two.

“Well I guess the (hairless) cats out of the bag,” Dina tweeted when filming started. “Yes I’m back. Unlike the past this time it felt ‘right’ … See you on Bravo my friends.”

Dina was rumored to make the decision to come back on the show only after her sister, Caroline Manzo, and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita agreed to leave the show. Dina and Caroline haven’t spoken in years due to an ongoing feud, and while Dina and Jacqueline aren’t quite as hostile toward one another, she didn’t want the complications that come along with filming with family. This season, Dina leans on her old friend Teresa while she goes through her second divorce.

Teresa’s cousin, Kathy Wakile, and her sister Rosie will make an appearance or two in the upcoming season, but Kathy is no longer a full-time housewife.

Two of the new cast members are identical twin sisters Teresa Aprea and Nicole Mauriello. Teresa A. and her husband own a popular Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Nicole is a two-time divorcee who tries to balance her career and her personal life. Things get complicated when her family doesn’t approve of the man she’s dating.

The final new cast member is Amber Marchese, a wife and mother to four children. She is also a fitness enthusiast and a breast cancer survivor who underwent a double mastectomy. She was an old friend of Melissa’s before the two of them got married and drifted apart.

Then there’s the elephant in the room: Teresa Giudice‘s legal issues. The Giudices struggle with keeping their family together, and even receive unexpected support from Melissa and Joe Gorga, two people while despite being their family members, have been their adversaries in the past three seasons.

“Obviously, Teresa is going to be a key character in the upcoming season, and Bravo wants to maximize her storyline,” an insider told RadarOnline last month.
