Supernatural is taking the week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, but when the show returns on December 3, things are getting serious. Sam and Dean will try to find a way to get Sam’s soul without working for Crowley, resulting in some very strange bedfellows.

In this clip from the episode, “Caged Heat,” Dean gets frustrated working for Crowley, wondering if it’s worth it and if Sam even wants his soul back. I guess Sam’s word at the end of the last episode wasn’t good enough.

Also, has anyone else noticed an unusually high number of rape references this season? In “Live for or Two-Hard” Dean described the vampire book cover as “rapey” and in “All Dogs Go to Heaven” he wanted proof before sending a guy to “a lifetime of demon rape.” Now in this clip Dean talks about needing a “daily rape shower” after working for Crowley. I’m not necessarily offended, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t notice and it didn’t make me a little uneasy. Surely there’s a way to make the same point without mentioning rape.

Supernatural airs Fridays at 9pm on the CW.
