Supernatural has a sick sense of humor. Less than one week before Thanksgiving, the drama offers an episode all about how turducken is filled with deadly grey goo that might turn you into a stoned, insane monster. So good luck enjoying your Thanksgiving dinner next week!

Worse yet, the episode ends with a dramatic cliffhanger that might be the most tragic thing to ever happen on Supernatural and we need to wait two whole weeks to find out what happens.

The Pepperjack Turducken Slammer

This week begins as residents of New Jersey are being eaten alive. Sam, Dean and Bobby come to investigate and stop by Biggerson’s Restaurant  to talk to the local ranger. The ranger seems stoned, the waiter is a douchewad and Dean discovers his newest passion: Biggeron’s Pepperjack Turducken Slammer. I know how this story ends, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that it sounds delicious, and Dean is my kind of man when he observes that it’s a stroke of genius to combine the world’s three most edible birds into one sandwich.

The problem is that they quickly learn that the monster doing the killing is just a person who’s been turned into a hyperactive cannibal, courtesy of the meat in the TDK Slammer. It reminds me of the brilliant Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode “Doublemeat Palace” where Buffy gets a job at a fast food restaurant and suspects they’re using people as the special meat.

The Rise of Dick

The team tracks the meat back to a distributing plant run by the Leviathans. Dr. Leviathan is using the TDK Slammer to test a drug that turns people into complacent zombies (not literal zombies), but there’s that nasty side effect where some people turn into crazed cannibals.

The big boss, Dick Roman, shows up, and we get his backstory. He’s a ruthless, successful CEO and one of the most powerful men in the world. It’s basically your typical world domination plot, and since Dr. Leviathan’s side effects are unacceptable, Dick forces him to eat himself. Bobby sees this, but gets captured, where Dick vows to eat him.

Oh My God, Did They Kill Bobby?

Sam and Dean storm the building armed with tanks of the cleaning detergent that hurts Leviathans. The distraction is enough for Bobby to run away from Dick Roman’s office along with some files full of his big Leviathan plans. Sam and Dean pull the car around and Bobby hops in, but Dick Roman is shooting.

In the most disturbing and shocking ending ever, Bobby doesn’t respond to Sam and Dean and we see that his hat has a bullet hole in it.

On the next Supernatural: In two weeks it’s the mid-season finale where we find out if Bobby lives or dies. He’d better live, because killing off Cas is one thing, but Bobby can’t die.
