Sarah Michelle Gellar made her big comeback this week as the star of The CW’s new drama series Ringer but the 34-year-old actress has yet to make another highly anticipated TV appearance. She’s set to return to All My Children for one last episode before the soap puts a close to its 41-year run on ABC.

According to TV Line, Gellar will appear on the September 21 episode of All My Children as a “delusional” patient at Pine Valley Hospital who thinks she’s Erica Kane’s daughter. This is obviously a reference to her original role, Kendall Hart, who is now played by Alicia Minshew.

“It was a great pleasure to welcome Sarah back to Pine Valley and especially fun to have her character wink to the audience with fun lines that referenced her previous character,” executive producer Julie Carruthers tells TV Guide

Gellar, who won the 1995 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for playing Kendall, is just one of the many famous celebrities whose career was launched through the daytime drama. Other AMC grads are also expected to drop by before the final curtain call including Carol Burnett and Josh Duhamel.

All My Children‘s final episode on ABC airs Friday, September 23. Meanwhile, fans can catch Sarah Michelle Gellar on Ringer every Tuesday at 9/8c on The CW.
