The cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey (and Bravo) have been keeping pretty quiet on the subject of the Teresa Giudice‘s fraud indictment. But Caroline Manzo told Andy Cohen her position on the whole situation during last night’s Watch What Happens Live.

She did confirm that she reached out to Teresa on the day of the indictment, although she intends on keeping the correspondence private.

“I texted her and I just sent the message, that I’ll keep to myself, and she responded back, and I’m going to keep that to myself as well,” she said.

Right now she is still struggling to understand what has happened to her co-star and what it all means.

“You know, I can’t even wrap my head around it. It’s unexpected.”

She told Andy that she was unable to make a prediction on what is going to happen next with Teresa, or with the show, for that matter.

“This is a big deal,” Caroline said. “And I think for us, the Housewives, we always comment on trivial things. And I think for me, the Manzo family, I think our position is going to be just stay quiet because it is just too big and too serious for the peanut gallery. You know? And I’m just going to leave it at that.”

Teresa’s other co-stars and family members, cousin Kathy Wakile and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, have stayed completely mum on the topic. And co-star Jacqueline Laurita just expressed annoyance at the press on Twitter.

“The press can stop coming to my door and calling my husband for us to comment regarding recent news,” she tweeted. “We have no comment.”

Cast members from other Real Housewives shows have not been afraid to throw their two cents in. Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black, wife of one of the top defense attorneys in the country, Roy Black, told People that Teresa’s situation is very bad.

“She may need some help raising those children,” Lea said. “The consequences may be bigger than anyone would think. It’s a bad situation for them to be in. They’ve got four kids, they’re in a lot of trouble and they’re trying to survive.”
