The drama on The Real Housewives of Orange County could take a very ugly legal turn. Meghan King Edmonds, who accused Brooks Ayers’ of faking his cancer, revealed that Ayers and his attorney sent her a letter threatening to sue her.

“I am waiting patiently on my official documents that I’m being sued,” Edmonds told People. “I already got one letter threatening to sue if I don’t comply with his requests, including one to issue a formal public apology.”

According to People, Edmonds was requested to respond to the letter by this past Wednesday or else Ayers and his attorney would take legal action. However, the 31-year-old reality star is not afraid of Ayers’ threat.

“I didn’t respond on purpose, because he’s full of crap and doesn’t have a case. So now I’m waiting to be sued,” she said. “He won’t. He knows he’s a liar and he’s pissed off at me and made a feeble attempt to intimidate me into not talking. When really, it’s so ridiculous I simply laughed it off. He doesn’t have the balls to sue me.”

Ayers’ cancer diagnosis has been a major storyline on The Real Housewives of Orange County this season. Besides Edmonds, costars Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador have also questioned the diagnosis, urging Vicki Gunvalson to divulge the medical records of her then-boyfriend Ayers.

Ayers, on the other hand, maintains that his diagnosis is real. He has reportedly filmed a tell-all with Bravo’s Andy Cohen  which is expected to air during RHOC‘s reunion episodes.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9pm ET on Bravo.
