Apollo Nida may have picked a fight at a pajama party on last night’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, but that’s not the only trouble he’s been getting into. Phaedra’s husband Apollo has been charged by the federal government for identity theft and fraud, according to the Atlantic Journal Constitution.

Apollo reportedly surrendered himself to the authorities on Friday after he was implicated by an accomplice named Gayla St. Julien, who was arrested back in September.

According to the affidavit obtained by the Atlantic Journal, a US Secret Service Agent charged that Apollo “created fake companies and fake bank accounts under real names in order to funnel stolen US Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into those accounts.”

His accomplice, St. Julien, claimed that Apollo was the one who was in charge of their fraud operation and that he took home a lot more money then she did. (I guess we know where he got that $8,000 to spend at the strip club now.)

St. Julien says that Apollo would steal people’s identities and then have her pretend to open bank accounts with their information and that they have been running their operation for the last four years.

Apollo has already served time from 2004-2009 for auto title fraud. He married Phaedra when he got out of jail in 2009 and the two have two children together.

Apollo was granted a pretrial bond of $25,000 and has a hearing set for February 12. Neither he nor Phaedra have yet to make a public statement.

“My husband was convicted of a white-collar crime. It was racketeering,” Phaedra said in an interview with Vibe when she first started appearing on the show in 2010.

“But he wasn’t guilty of harming any person or anybody and unfortunately that’s what happened. I married my husband because I loved him and he loved me and I think that’s the foundation of any good relationship. I didn’t marry him because of his past or because of his future. I married him because I respected him and I realized everyone should realize that people make mistakes.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
