After putting the Veterans against the Rookies in crazy competitions like digging up teammates from their buried coffins or running across a beam high above water while the opposite team tries to knock them off with 25-pound medicine balls, the Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet III has finally crowned its winning team.  In last week’s final challenge, the Rookies emerged as the winner, receiving a check for $300,000, which is split into six equal shares among its remaining members, consisting of Frank Roessler, Jillian Zoboroski, Johanna Botta, Nehemiah Clark, Rachel Moyal, and Tori Hall.

If you missed some of the action in the 15th season of The Real World/Road Rules Challenge, you can still catch up on the drama as MTV airs a reunion special tonight.

For those who are not familiar, The Gauntlet III is a competitive reality series that premiered on January 23.  Set in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this season serves as a battle ground as the 32 favorite veterans and rookies from The Real World and Road Rules fight it out for the grand prize.

On the reunion show, Brad Fiorenza, Eric Banks, Rachel Moyal, Coral Smith, Frank Roessler, Nehemiah Clark, Evelyn Smith, Tori Hall, Jillian Zoboroski, Evan Starkman, Katie Doyle, Johanna Botta, Kenny Santucci and Paula Meronek come together to relive some of the most memorable moments on The Gauntlet III.  As expected, they also recall the most fateful challenge, the 16th and final round of the competition, which left the Veterans in dismay.

“It sucks…it’s something that you don’t want to see happen but it happened…I didn’t want to go down,” Eric, whose physical condition and poor performance caused the Veterans to fall behind the Rookies, said during the reunion special.

Although he admits that his pace is slower than the rest of his teammates, Eric still thinks that if the team had worked together, they would have eventually won in the end.  Eric’s statement drives his teammates mad, especially Evelyn, who is still pissed off at Eric for partying with the Rookies just after his breakdown.

More cursing, yelling and bashing are expected to ensue on the reunion special of The Gauntlet III tonight at 10pm ET/PT.
