Throughout the seasons, viewers of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have seen Joe Giudice treat his wife Teresa Giudice with disrespect. In next week’s episode, it seems that he has taken his barn-yard behavior a step further by referring to his wife as a his “bitch wife” and a “c***.” Now Teresa is speaking out about her husband’s hurtful actions.
“I felt like I’d been kicked in the stomach. I was humiliated,” Teresa said in an interview with In Touch when she first saw the footage after living it nearly a year ago.
The audio evidence of Joe’s bad-mouthing happened after he excused himself from a group dinner to take a call from a “worker.” Joe left the table out of site of the cameras but wasn’t aware he was still wearing a microphone, thus the damning audio.
Although Teresa has often come to her husband’s defense regarding his neanderthal behavior on her Bravo blog as well as on Watch What Happens Live, this was one instance where she couldn’t explain it away.
“I can’t defend him on this,” she said. “I’m hurt by him and disappointed by him.”
According to In Touch, Teresa is still holding onto the belief that Joe was only talking to someone from the pizzeria. “I am not stupid,” she added. “I will not be with him. I will totally leave him.”
Teresa says that after the show filmed, she sat down with Joe and forced him to watch the clip.
“He was so ashamed and embarrassed,” she said. “He was like, ‘I can’t believe I ever said that.'”
Despite what seems to be obvious troubles with their marriage, she still avoids the topic of his legal battles and the possibility of Joe being sentenced to ten years in prison and what “going away” would mean for their relationship as well as their family.
