Now that One Tree Hill is sure to return for season 7 without lead stars Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, fans are plagued with the idea that the CW series might not pique their interests as it did for the past six seasons. On the other hand, another time jump plus several new faces may just be what the show needs for a successful revamp, according to series executive producer and director Greg Prange.
“What I can say is that we’re making another mini-jump again and season seven, the opener is going to really introduce you to a whole new slew of people. Our show is obviously going to be different because two major players are gone. But I think that the players that we’re bringing in are people who are going to be welcomed and as our audience gets to know them and their characters, I think they’re going to root for them like they have everybody on our show,” One Tree Hill producer Greg Prange told Starnewsonline.com.
Below you can find a rundown of the new characters gracing One Tree Hill season 7 thus far:
Shantel VanSanten as Quinn
We’ve met Taylor, now it’s time to meet Haley’s (Bethany Joy Galeotti) other older sister, Quinn. Described as a free spirit but can also be dependable and kind, Quinn is struggling with a wounded heart —which brings her to Tree Hill in search for something more.
Robert Buckley as Clayton
Buckley, who recently appeared on Lipstick Jungle, joins the cast of One Tree Hill season 7 as a handsome sports agent who works alongside Nathan. Clayton is said to be a rising star at his agency and has become a fiercely protective advisor to Nathan. But that’s not to say that he doesn’t enjoy the perks available to a young, wealthy and handsome single guy such as himself.
Jana Kramer as Alexis
Brooke’s clothing line, Clothes Over Bros., has a new face and she comes in the form of Jana Kramer, who just came off playing Portia Ranson on the CW’s 90210. She joins the cast of One Tree Hill season 7 as a model/actress. This party girl comes across as a diva who is used to getting her way. Surprisingly, she is book smart and street wise, and seems know her way around the treacherous waters of her profession.
India de Beaufort as Miranda Stone
Tagged as Peyton’s replacement, Miranda Stone is “a smart, successful record executive who has been sent to Tree Hill to oversee the day to day operations of boutique label Red Bedroom Records.”
Also returning next season are Austin Nichols (Julian) and Daneel Harris (Rachel Gatina).
One Tree Hill season 7 premieres on September 14 on The CW.
