Kandi Burriss, the newest member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is keeping herself busy these days in the wake of the death of her former fiance A.J. Jewell. The multi-platinum selling artist and Grammy-Award winning songwriter is set to release the Kandi Koated Entertainment Presents The Fly Above EP digitally on October 29.

If you’ve been following The Real Housewives of Atlanta, then you’ve already heard “Fly Above” in one of the episodes featuring Kandi performing on stage. And according to Kandi, the song is “an anthem that will inspire anyone who is dealing with issues to ‘fly above’ the drama.”

Aside from the title track, Fly Above includes the Kandi-trademarked sassy single “Trade Him In,” which features Gucci Mane and is produced by Drumma Boy, the in your face Jazze Pha-produced hit “Must Be Good,” the Nitti-produced song “I Like Him,” featuring Rick Ross and Rasheeda and the Kuya Productions love song, “I Just Know.”

Kandi is also featured on “Try It Out,” the song by Big Bank Black which has been heating up Atlanta radio for some time now and has landed on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts. Additionally, she revamped “Tardy For the Party,” which reached Top 10 on iTunes Dance chart upon its release, for Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kim Zolciak.

Other things on Kandi’s plate include the promo tour for her new EP in the coming weeks and the grand opening of TAGS, a new boutique in her hometown of Atlanta. On the other hand, her full-length CD, B.L.O.G., is due out in early 2010.

Meanwhile, fans can catch Kandi Burruss on The Real Housewives of Atlanta airing every Thursday at 10pm on Bravo.
