To prepare ourselves for the crazy, perhaps catastrophic premiere of America’s Next Top Model: All Stars, let’s familiarize ourselves with the contestants. We know a lot about these ladies from their time on the show, but what have they accomplished since then? What mysterious mystical force convinced them to take another shot at the much-coveted and often laughed-at title? Was it Tyra?
Some of these questions will be answered throughout this week, when we take a look back at the lives of these All-Star contestants. We’ll also highlight a few of their best moments on America’s Next Top Model.
Today, we have three-time ANTM contestant, “ghetto in a good way” Angelea Preston.
Original Cycle: Cycle 14, 2010
Has Modeled For: The Sachika Twins and Richie Rich for NY Fashion Week, Fashionista magazine
Check out Angelea’s All-Star promo video below, where she hopes to hit her home run.
A frontrunner of Cycle 14, Angelea proved just how determination can take you far into the game. It also helped that she could transform herself on camera, as the judges praised her constantly for her ability to look soft when needed. In the house, however, she was a different person entirely.
Known for starting drama to get ahead, Angelea picked fights with the other girls – from fellow contestant Brenda to runner-up Raina. Still, she survived all of the dreckitude comments with her fierce and explosive personality. She faltered during the finale though, but she still exited with her own brand of poise: the hammer dance.
Since Top Model, Angelea signed with Colby Models in New York and has had a couple of TV appearances. She was on Jay Leno’s Battle of the Celebrity All Stars in 2010, and has been spotted on a commercial for Keratin Earth.
Angelea even has a movie credit to her name. In 2011, she was cast as Adrenia in the film Breathe. We bet that’s doing a lot for her confidence.
Check back tomorrow as we look at another contestant from America’s Next Top Model All-Stars. And set your calendars for the show’s premiere on September 14.
