In a list that included the princess of pop, tennis greats, a hotel heiress, a phenomenal recording artist, and otherwise big Hollywood names, the Kardashian sisters appear to be in excellent company. In Touch Weekly recently released its list of Hollywood’s Most Powerful Sisters and the stars of E!’s Keeping up with the Kardashians, a zany look at the equally zany lives of the family, is tenth.
“The Kardashians – Kim, 27, Kourtney, 29, and Khloe, 24 – may lead glamorous lives but they also have a strong work ethic,” the magazine reports.
Topping the list are the Olsen twins, Ashley and Mary-Kate, who started earning money when they were 9 months old and had since built up an empire that sells approximately $1 billion per year in clothing, books, furniture, dolls, videos, and a host of other merchandise. On their heels are sister acts Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears, Beyonce and Solange Knowles, and Hillary and Haylie Duff, who round up the top five.
According to the main star of Keeping up with the Kardashian, “We knew when we’re 18, we were cut off. We grew with privilege, so our standards were high. And if we wanted to keep that, we had to work hard.”
And work hard she did. Kim recently released her very own workout video which, according to her, is designed to work for people with busy lifestyles like her. She is also starting to act, while managing their Dash and Smooch boutiques. E!’s hit reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians was seen by more than 13 million viewers on its first month.
Rounding up the top ten are Paris and Nicky Hilton, Venus and Serena Williams, Lindsay and Ali Lohan, Ashley and Jennifer Tisdale, and the Kardashian sisters at number 10.
