Jamie Lynn Spears has to deal with reports that the father of her baby, Casey Aldridge, frequently cheated on her, as if the embarrassment and challenges of motherhood at the tender age of 16 aren’t distressing enough.

National Enquirer
reports that Aldridge strayed from the Zoey 101 star several times in the past, even dating another woman days before the young actress officially announced to the world the she’s expecting.

“I think Casey is a serial cheater who has lied to Jamie Lynn and betrayed her time and time again,” Spears’ close friend revealed to the Enquirer.  “Even though I’m sure she knows in her heart that Casey’s a lying, cheating dog, Jamie Lynn is head over heels in love with him.  She continues to take him back regardless of how awful he treats her.”

“This past spring Casey was forced to tell Jamie Lynn that he’d cheated on her and gotten that girl pregnant,” Spears’ pal added.  “Jamie Lynn was devastated.  She swore Casey out of her life forever.”

Two weeks before the unnamed other woman had a miscarriage, the Zoey star was reportedly reunited with Aldridge, promising her that he would never cheat again.  On the other hand, he shortly forayed to other pastures by dating another girl named Whitney Seals, who is reportedly the same woman he has been seen “sneaking around” with lately.

Confirmation comes from Seals’ brother Kevin, who also reveals about Spears’ frustration.

“Whitney and Casey have been dating for months,” Kevin Seals said.  “I know Jamie Lynn was really upset and jealous when she found out about it.”

While Spears is grappling with some growing pains, her onscreen counterpart on the Nickelodeon series, Zoey Brooks, is also struggling on whether she should remain at her sun-dappled California boarding school, Pacific Coast Academy, or move to London with her parents.  Zoey 101 has already wrapped up its third season with a cliffhanger, which is scheduled to air on Friday, January 4, and has already shot the fourth season, which is set to begin airing in February on Nickelodeon.

Spears’ string of controversy unfortunately comes at an awkward time as show executives must now figure out how to promote the program aimed at tweens whose young star has stumbled from her pedestal.  Nickelodeon hasn’t announced any schedule changes for the show but for now, the network is standing behind the Zoey actress.
