It looks like we don’t have to wait for ABC’s official announcement about the identity of the new Bachelor. A contestant from the yet-to-be-taped reality dating series has spilled the beans to WKRN, a local TV station in Tennessee, that she’s is in fact appearing as one of the participants vying for the heart of Jake Pavelka. Sorry Reid and Kiptyn fans!

According to Usmagazine.com, the contestant is Brittney Gammel, a Learjet pilot, who says the show’s 14th season begins taping in November and that Jake will be handing out roses on The Bachelor come January.

When asked by Usmagazine.com about Jake, however, ABC says, “We are not going to confirm who The Bachelor is or if this woman is even one of the bachelorettes. People need to tune into Dancing With the Stars on October 13 to find out the real identity of the next Bachelor.”

For those who haven’t been following The Bachelor-Bachelorette franchise, Jake Pavelka, hailing from Dallas, was one of the contestants on The Bachelorette‘s fifth season starring Jillian Harris. While he did some acting earlier in life as Jake Landrum, he was known on the show for his work as commercial jet pilot.

Jake made it somewhat far on The Bachelor but failed to capture Jillian’s heart. He did, however, become the subject of controversy when he returned on the show after being eliminated in episode 6, and warned Jillian that contestant Wes Hayden went on the show for the wrong reasons. Basically, Wes had a girlfriend and was a liar.

Nobody likes a rat but Jake’s return on The Bachelor made him some sort of a hero in some people’s eyes (and a potential candidate for The Bachelor season 14). For others, however, he’s simply a traitor. And a boring one for that matter.
