When trying to guess who’s going to die on the next episode of Harper’s Island, we rely on the onomatopoeic titles and the one-line summaries from CBS.  Tonight, the series returns with “Thrack, Splack, Sizzle.”

Before we go off and look at how the title reminds one of three famous cereal elves, let’s see what happened on the last grisly episode of Harper’s Island.  “Sploosh” saw the guests being hounded by even more fear and suspicion, as the Sheriff (Jim Beaver) tried to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Charlie Mills interviewed most of the suspects, particularly Katherine (Claudette Mink) and Richard (David Lewis).  Though the latter came up with a decent alibi involving his daughter, Madison (Cassandra Sawtell) later revealed that she lied to the Sheriff because her dad told her to.  Just when we thought all signs pointed to Richard being responsible for Thomas’ (Richard Burgi) death, he gets harpooned in the chest and whisked off – probably to hell.

The end of the episode posited even further questions.  There’s Uncle Marty (Harry Hamlin) being found dead in the place he didn’t die – his corpse was left cut in two at a footbridge but he was next seen hanging up a tree.  Meanwhile, there’s also J.D. (Dean Chekvala) sneaking off to meet up with the mysterious woodsman.

Tonight on “Thrack, Splack Sizzle,” the wedding guests are all set to leave the island.  However, no one can run from the problem yet.  One of them is suspected to be the killer, so they’ll all have to stay for now.

Sheriff Mills already told his daughter Abby (Elaine Cassidy) that he’ll be sending her home immediately, due to the dangers that the island has caused.  Even so, an eerie, new discovery reveals that she may actually be linked to Wakefield.  There’s always been plenty of speculation regarding her connection to the notorious murderer, and we’ll see it come to light tonight.

Don’t forget to catch Harper’s Island tonight at 9pm on CBS.
