A major Grey’s Anatomy character is going to die before the end of the three-parter that started with last week’s “Walk on Water”, says E!Online’s Kristin Veitch in her new Watch with Kristin Vine online show.

Kristin says fans will “die when you see what happens” and that it will be “someone huge, someone important, someone you think they’d never kill off – the one thing you’d think they’d never do!”

Fans speculate that it’s probably Meredith Grey herself (Ellen Pompeo), who as you will recall fell into the water at the end of last week’s cliffhanger, but obviously fans hope that it’s a “temporary” death, as she will probably be resuscitated. However, Kristin Veitch says that the death she’s referring to is “for good.”

Would they really kill off the title character for good? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. The title of the next episode, airing Thursday, February 15, is “Drowning on Dry Land,” followed by the conclusion “Some Kind of Miracle”; draw your own conclusions.

Kristin Veitch also recently revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be returning to Grey’s Anatomy in the next few episodes as Denny Duquette, in a scene that will “completely blow your mind” – not in a dream, not in a flashback, and not as his own evil twin. How, exactly? My guess is that he might appear as part of a near death experience for whoever it is that dies. Kristin’s not saying, but does reveal that “Denny is not the only one we see.”
