After an almost three-month hiatus, Glee is back for the second half of season 5, and the FOX musical is returning to Tuesday nights beginning this week.

In this week’s episode, things will get tense between two of our favorite New York-based characters when Santana auditions to be Rachel’s understudy in Funny Girl. But the rivalries aren’t contained to just within the Big Apple. At McKinley High, Tina and Artie are competing to be the class valedictorian. Who will be victorious?

FOX has released the seven songs featured in “Frenemies”: Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway,” a reprise of “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl (but this time not performed by Rachel), Kenny Loggins and Stevie Knicks’ “Whenever I Call You Friend,” The Police’s “Every Breath You Take,” Sara Bareilles’ “Brave,” The Darkness’ “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and En Vogue’s “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It).”

This episode will see two duets by Tina and Artie and two by Rachel and Santana. And American Idol is once again being represented when a Kelly Clarkson hit is covered. Speaking of Idol, it’s the return of Adam Lambert as Starchild as he teams up with Kurt for a performance. This episode should almost be called “Duets,” if not for the fact that it’s already been taken (episode 4 in season 2).

“Breakaway” — Tina, Artie & Blaine

“Don’t Rain on My Parade” — Santana

“Whenever I Call You Friend” — Tina & Artie
