Project Runway History
Season 8 was a hotbed of drama, mostly involving winner Gretchen Jones, as well as fellow All-Star castmember Michael Costello. Caught in the whirlwind of designer’s turmoil, April made her opinions known quite often. Does she regret her public portrayal? Not at all! Here’s a personal account of April’s time on Project Runway and certain people she shared it with. April Johnston reflects on Project Runway Season 8:
Drama is always fun to watch unfold, yet the designs are what we’re truly here for, right? April won one challenge before placing fifth in the competition. If director Tim Burton lends his expertise to sit as a guest judge this upcoming season, April Johnston should be in luck. Her collection entitled Mangled Courtesan glorifies the couture fashions for the dead. Her easily mistaken graveyard fashions showcase contrasting textures of drab shades, but in a really cool way.

Will the depth of April Johnston’s collection prove she has what it takes to win Project Runway: All- Stars? Or does her nightmarish influence still stifle her range? Tune in to the show’s premiere on Lifetime January 5 at 9/8c when the challenges begin.
