According to TV Line, McRaney will be part of multiple episodes as Mason Wood, the head of a legendary and secretive private detective society.

While it has not been revealed how McRaney’s character will fit on Castle, it has been reported that he will make his debut on the 14th episode, which also happens to feature guest star Glau.

Glau will play Kendall Frost, a provocative private detective in Los Angeles who is expected be Castle’s rival when solving a deadly mystery.

The casting of Glau on Castle, which was first reported by TV Line, marks as yet another Firefly reunion. Lead star Nathan Fillion recently worked with Glau in an episode of the web series Con Man, which also stars Firefly alum Alan Tudyk.

Castle returns with new episodes beginning Monday, February 8 on ABC.
