For six seasons, Emmy award-winning actress Edie Falco played Carmela Soprano on HBO’s critically-acclaimed drama, The Sopranos, Now, she is ready to assume a role on a more lighthearted and quirky series on NBC.
According to TV Guide, Falco has been tapped to appear in three episodes of the hit comedy, 30 Rock. Although no official statements have been made regarding Falco’s character on the show, her appearance on 30 Rock will mark her first television gig since The Sopranos ended in June.
Of her inclusion in the second season of 30 Rock, Edie Falco said, “I have laughed out loud at this show, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to work with such great comic actors.”
