While re-watching the most recent episode of Bones, “The Death of the Queen Bee,” it occurred to me that there were a lot of key moments and significant clues hidden in the episode that I missed while watching it the first time around. Shocking, right? I know. I too am a little disappointed in myself.

Yet, I suppose I must give props to the brilliant writers of the show.  They are always keeping us on our toes, and, although we are all desperately asking for spoilers from people like Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan, I believe that all the answers we need lie in the episodes themselves.

Case in point? Why, this particular episode, of course! Take, for example, Angela’s breakup with Wendell. Yes, at first, it might seem like nothing. Perhaps it’s just another example of Angela being Angela, afraid to fully commit or get hurt again. But, let’s take another look, shall we?

Although I am a Hodgins fan all the way, I must admit, for those that like Wendell, that he is a really great guy. He has a very strong moral compass and always tries to do the right thing by people. Ultimately, I feel like he could’ve been a great father for Angela’s baby and a good person for her to finally settle down with.

However, we all know that this isn’t going to happen anymore. And as much as Angela might want to claim that Wendell was just too good for her, we all know the truth, right? She’s still in love with Hodgins and always has been. Let’s face it, he’s her guy, and I think she finally just realized this.

So, what does this mean? Well, I’m no expert, but I see a Hodgela reunion in our future.  Everyone, even Wendell, knows the two are meant to be together, and I think that all the stuff they have gone through has ultimately brought them to the pivotal realization that, no matter how hard they fight it, they belong together.

In a recent Fox press release for the May 6 episode, “The Witch in the Wardrobe,” it is said that Hodgins’ reckless driving lands Angela and him in jail. Could this be the epochal moment we’ve all been waiting for in which the two finally get together for good? Well, all I can say is keep your fingers crossed, my friends.

Now, another point I feel is worth mentioning is the dance that Booth and Brennan share at her high school reunion. I know that not everyone wants to see these two end up together and some feel that they are already together by all conventional meanings of the word, but I personally believe that the strong majority of fans are anxiously awaiting their real and full-fledged relationship.

With that being said, I think this dance was another example that we have nothing to worry about in that area. If you look closely at the expressions both Booth and Brennan have on their faces during the dance, Brennan has a look of serenity and safety in Booth’s arms, while Booth’s expression is tense, the result of an internal struggle with his feelings.

This reaffirms what we already know: Brennan loves Booth and Booth loves Brennan. No matter their efforts dating other people, we will always see them come back to each other.  We will see that Booth will not be able to move on as he told Brennan he would have to do, and we will see Brennan finally admit that she loves Booth.

When this will happen, I am not entirely sure, but I would advise everyone not to miss the season finale as the tidbits surrounding it have been very promising.

So, after all that, what do you think?  Are you at all reassured by these tiny details for the reunion of Hodgela and the real relationship between Booth and Bones? Leave your comment below!
