CBS takes viewers to the world of New York City law enforcement through its new series Blue Bloods, a drama about a multi-generational family of cops who have one thing in common: they’ll stop at nothing to see justice served. The show boasts an impressive cast that includes Tom Selleck, who is best known for his starring role as Hawaii-based private investigator Thomas Magnum on the 1980s television show Magnum, P.I., and Donnie Wahlberg, who is credited in Righteous Kill and in the award-winning World War II miniseries Band of Brothers.

On Blue Bloods, Selleck plays Frank Reagan the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan family while Wahlberg plays his eldest son Danny, a seasoned detective and family man who occasionally employs questionable tactics to solve cases. Frank and Danny are both a source of pride and concern for Frank’s unapologetic father Henry, played by Len Cariou, who once served as Chief of Police.

Will Estes also joins Blue Bloods as Jamie, the youngest Reagan who juts got out of Harvard Law. His character is described as the family’s golden boy who finds himself in a sticky situation when asked to become a “part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family’s legacy.”

Then there’s Bridget Moynahan, who plays the sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin. She plays a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Check out the video below for a sneak peek at Blue Bloods:
