Big Brother 15 was already the most paranoid season ever thanks to the MVP twist, but when Julie Chen warned the HGs to “expect the unexpected” with a new twist this week, it pushed them all into paranoia overdrive. We know the twist is that America got to pick the third nominee. The HGs do not. Now the Power of Veto can throw another bit of confusion into an already perplexing week.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 15 spoilers.

Judd nominated Aaryn and Kaitlin. America voted for Elissa as the third nominee. Helen and McCrae were also picked to play.

Elissa won the Power of Veto!

What? That’s a bit of a shock, as she has been completely unimpressive in competitions thus far. It’s also going to make things very mysterious until Monday morning.

It sounds like it was a competition with rewards and punishments, somehow involving blackjack, so as we learn what everyone got, I’ll provide updates:

Elissa: Won the Power of Veto (and she has to sit out of the next PoV competition)
Judd: 24 Hours of Solitary Confinement in the Cockpit Lounge (next to the bathroom, and an alarm goes off every 9 minutes)
Helen: Has an 8pm Curfew (she has to go to bed and can’t talk to anyone)
McCrae: Won $5,000
Aaryn: ????
Kaitlin: ???

Obviously Elissa will use the Power of Veto to save herself, but then what? Since she’s America’s MVP nominee, I assume whoever received the next highest number of votes will automatically replace her. Is that GinaMarie? Amanda? Someone else?

There’s no real way of knowing, but all eyes are now on Kaitlin vs. Aaryn. Everyone hates Aaryn and they don’t trust her, which makes her an easy target. But Kaitlin has done better in competitions, which might make her a bigger threat.

Andy has bonded with Kaitlin and I think people are more willing to trust her and try to work with her. The problem is that Jessie really wants Kaitlin gone. The increasingly cocky trio of Howard, Spencer and Candice seem to be fine sending Aaryn out the door.

Right now there are way too many alliances, side alliances, theories and paranoid delusions bouncing around the house for me to figure out what’s going to happen. If Amanda somehow goes up as the replacement, I could actually envision her going home as she’s been rubbing people the wrong way and a lot of people might jump at the chance to backdoor her. Spencer, Howard and Candice could team up with Helen and Elissa to send her out. Now THAT would shake up the house.

Also, the popular theory in the house is still that Elissa is the MVP and nominated herself, which is the craziest thing ever and freaks everyone out about how insane she’s acting.

It’s going to be an interesting few days. Will the replacement nomination change everything? Will Aaryn or Kaitlin be the target? There will be no certainty and a lot of paranoia until the Power of Veto ceremony on Monday since no one knows who the MVP is or who might go up as Elissa’s replacement.
