Skyler Samuels has been added to the cast of American Horror Story: Freak Show, the fourth season of the Ryan Murphy anthology drama, though she won’t be part of the “troupe of curiosities.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Nine Lives of Chloe King star  will play a “pivotal character described as a local who finds herself in a tough situation.”

No other details have been revealed about Samuels’ character on American Horror Story: Freak Show other than the fact that she will be part of a major recurring arc. Aside from Samuels, the show will also feature Kathy Bates as the bearded lady, Jessica Lange as a German expat managing the freak show, Evan Peters as the man with lobster-like hands, Sarah Paulson as the conjoined twins, Michael Chiklis as the mustached man, and John Carroll Lynch’s Twisty the Clown, just to name a few.

Set in Florida in 1952, American Horror Story: Freak Show revolves around a group of entertainers who are trying to survive the fading carny world while dealing with dark forces.
