Now that The Bachelor has ended its 13th season, it’s time to begin the search for eligible men and women who are ready to find love on TV.  If you have the charm, style and personality to be the next reality TV star, then come to ABC’s casting event on Thursday, April 23 at The Talbott Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.  Casting starts at 5pm until 9pm.

This marks the first casting event following the 13th season of The Bachelor which saw love searcher and single dad Jason Mesnick proposing to Melissa Rycroft only to dump her for runner-up Molly Malaney during the After the Final Rose special.

Will the next Bachelor turn out to be a jerk like Jason Mesnick?  Or will he rise above viewers’ expectations and prove that it’s possible to find true love in front of millions of viewers.  At any rate, the next Bachelor will certainly carry a lot of pressure on his shoulders.  The 13th season of The Bachelor hit record high in ratings.  15.5 million people reportedly witnessed Jason Mesnick choose Melissa Rycroft in New Zealand during The Bachelor‘s season finale, its highest ratings in five years.  Subsequently, two million more tuned in for the After the Final Rose special where Mesnick broke Rycroft’s heart, for a grand total of 17.5 million, which basically paved the way to ABC’s victory for the night.

Interested applicants can also apply online or send a letter or call the designated toll free number (1-866-739-3150).  For online applicants, you must submit a picture and complete the online form, while those who cannot submit a photo can send it together with the downloaded application form to P.O. Box 690, 10153 ½ Riverside Drive Toluca Lake, CA 91602.

Meanwhile, the same instructions apply for the hopeful bachelorettes.
