At last year's San Diego Comic-Con it was nearly impossible to get into the Heroes panel, which featured creator Tim Kring and many of the show's stars. People waited in line hours to see a sneak peek at season 2, only to be turned away at the door when the room reached full capacity. After a mediocre second season that resulted in a ratings drop, it's likely that the Heroes gathering at this year's Comic-Con will at least be a little easier to get into. For the 2008 panel, Kring is hoping to ignite fan fervor by offering a glimpse at the third season premiere. In fact, fans lucky enough to make it to San Diego might to get to see the first episode of the "Villains" chapter in its entirety.

With Heroes' season 3 premiere only three months away, its cast and crew have been hyping the new season up as much as they can. With a second season that many viewers found lacking, which wasn't helped by having to be cut short due to the writers strike, many viewers are still apprehensive that the show won't be able to bounce back even with the large break between seasons 2 and 3.
Of course everyone involved with Heroes will be the first to admit their failings and to tell us that the upcoming season will be the bee's knees, especially the series' creator, Tim Kring. Sci Fi Wire caught up with Tim Kring at the Saturn Awards earlier this week where the Heroes producer accepted the award for best TV DVD and discussed what the focus will be in season 3, as well as the fate of fan favorite Sylar (Zachary Quinto).

Masi Oka used to be a bit player. Though he got his acting start in small guest roles on dozens of TV series, the former digital artist for Industrial Light and Magic only teleported into the limelight once he was cast as Hiro Nakamura on the hit series Heroes. The role of the ever happy Japanese superhero made him a household name, and it wasn't long before Masi Oka was on call for bigger and better projects.
The Heroes star's first major big screen role will have him appearing in theaters around the world in the comedy Get Smart. Though the movie is so far receiving relatively mixed reviews, it's a big step in the career of the unassuming 33-year-old who only a few years ago was best known to TV audiences as playing an intern in five episodes of Scrubs.

As reported before, Tim King revealed that Heroes volume 3 will focus on the bad guys and will show how they get together and rise up to destroy the earth, just like what the good guys did to save the world in the first season. In line with this, fans can expect, many villains to surface when the NBC science fiction series returns for a new season.

In most cases, intriguing hints about upcoming television plotlines come to us courtesy of the actors. Writers for the biggest hits on the tube are usually evasive and secretive about upcoming events, while the actors have a tendency to be loose-lipped and possibly spill more than they should. Such was the case when Heroes actor Adrian Pasdar recently made an appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida. We haven't heard much from series creator Tim Kring regarding season 3, but Pasdar dropped a bombshell about what the next year holds for his character.
