The recently concluded fifth season of The Biggest Loser brought us the first ever female winner to emerge as the Biggest Loser, Ali Vincent, who went past 19 other individuals vying for the prize of $250,000. However, Vincent and her mother Betty Sue Birkland, who represented the Pink Team in the last season, aren’t the only ones who emerged successful in losing weight and renewing themselves to rediscover the fullness of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, other contestants such as the Kruger brothers Mark and Jay, and Trent Patterson have lent their efforts to promote health and fitness to several communities around the United States. Like Ali Vincent, they, too have realized the importance of health, and would like to spread the word.
More recently, another pair from The Biggest Loser 5 has enlisted their names for another health event to take place in Traverse City, Michigan.

Former contestant of the recently concluded fifth season of The Biggest Loser, Trent Patterson may not have bagged the $250,000 cash prize of the reality competition, but he is happily spreading the word about weight loss and health awareness. In fact, he recently visited West Canada Valley High School to raise awareness among youth on obesity and the effects of an unhealthy diet.
“I had no one to really tell me about the importance of nutrition and calories,” Patterson admitted. “I’m here to tell them about proper nutrition and the benefits of it.”

On last month’s season 5 finale of The Biggest Loser, the Kruger brothers were big threats to take home the two prizes awarded by the show. Already eliminated, Jay had hoped to become The Biggest Loser at home while his brother, Mark, was a member of the final four contestants vying for the grand prize. Mark’s bad luck started when America did not choose him to be in the final three and compete for $250,000. Then, he lost by just one pound to Bernie Salazar for The Biggest Loser at home. Though the brothers didn’t take home any cash, they got a lot more out of the experience than they ever dreamed of. The two recently reflected on the journey they’ve made in the last year.

Don't ask how she knew, but she did. When she was in line at the audition, when she was cast on the show, and even when she was eliminated, Ali Vincent knew that she was going to be the first female Biggest Loser. She started this season, competing alongside her mother, and weighed in at 234 pounds. Ali and Bette-Sue were voted out in week 4 but a twist in the game gave Ali the opportunity to return. As the female contestant who had lost the highest percentage of weight back home, Ali returned to the game with even more passion than she had before. At the finale, she weighed in at 122 pounds, shedding over 47% of her body weight. Today, amidst a whirlwind press tour, Ali took time to talk to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview.
