MTV has finally announced a premiere date for the new season of Run's House, the reality series that sheds light on the life of Rev. Run, also known as hip-hop music pioneer Joseph Simmons, and his family. On Wednesday, July 16 at 10pm ET/PT, the Simmons clan will once again take viewers inside their home as they embark on new adventures for season 5.
The new season of Run's House picks up with the the Simmons' blazing new trails across the map and Rev. Run reliving the glory days as he joins friend Kid Rock on tour. Justine Simmons, on the other hand, will try to hold down the fort in Saddle River with the latest addition to the family, baby Miley.

If you’re a fan of MTV’s Run’s House, then you’re already familiar with Team Blackout, the hip-hop trio consisting of Rev. Run’s oldest teenage son Jojo Simmons, and his childhood friends Zach and Reggie. For the past four-years, millions of Run's House fans have watched Team Blackout develop, on-air, into a full-fledged group to watch out for. Now, the trio can boast all their efforts and hard work as they release their much awaited debut album called “Lights Out.”
Since the 7th grade, the teenage Run’s House star and his friends have been jamming together. But it wasn’t until the 2003 New York City Blackout that Jojo, Zach and Reggie decided to officially form their group. Hence, the name Team Blackout. Since then, they've been putting their act together, in the studio, on stage and even on the television series Run’s House.

Angela Simmons is gradually trying to climb the limelight on her own. As one of the stars of MTV's Run's House, she has often been associated with older sister and Run's House co-star Vanessa Simmons, who teamed up to launch a shoe line called the Pastry Brand. Now, she'll be branching out solo into the music circuit as she launches her debut album.
At present, Angela is working hard in the studio in preparation for her debut single “Center of Attention,” which can be heard on her Pastrykicks website.

Nowadays, most headline stories about teen celebrities are usually negative controversies that involve drunk driving, rehab and out of control behavior, just to name a few. Nevertheless, there are still a few remaining youngsters that can actually be considered as role models. According to public relations firm Mosnar Communications, Inc., Rev. Run's daughters, Angela Simmons and Vanessa Simmons, who both stars on MTV's Run's House, are likely to point young girls in the right direction. Even the Girl Scouts agree as the Simmons sisters are now the designated role models for the Girl Scouts organization.
Although the Simmons sisters became famous for being the nieces of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and daughters of his brother Rev. Run, they have certainly become celebrities in their own rights. Both have a solid following of fans and have successfully sold over $15 million dollars last year of their brand Pastry sneakers, which is now being expanded to include handbags, jewelry and other products.

Angela Simmons and Vanessa Simmons aren't the only Run's House cast members who have come up with their own shoe business. In fact, their father Rev. Run, also known as Joseph Simmons in real life, has recently released his new sneaker called Icon.
Hundreds of hip-hop fans and sneaker lovers lined up in front of Footaction on May 14 at Manhattan's 34th street and 7th avenue to meet the legendary rapper and the star of Run's House, who launched his new sneaker and signed autographs for fans of all ages.

For many years now, we have associated Kool-Aid with a large anthropomorphic frosty pitcher, also known as the Kool-Aid man. Now, the artificially-flavored soft drink mix owned by the Kraft Foods Company has decided to use another face to promote its upcoming ventures. Enter Rev. Run, one of the founding members of hip hop group Run-D.M.C and the star of the reality series Run's House.
Although the Kool-Aid man will remain the mascot of Kool-Aid, the Run's House star is set to appear in POS displays and other promotions of Kool-Aid and will speak directly to consumers about healthy lifestyle choices and the benefits of play. These are all part of Rev. Run's job as the new brand ambassador for the Kool-Aid KaBOOM! initiative.
