Thanks to CBS being high on a slew of new dramas in development, the fate of Moonlight remains uncertain. As the vampire detective series wraps up its pilot season, it's imperative that fans put up a bloody good fight and improve the ratings especially with season finale. With any luck, CBS won't put a stake on Moonlight, and hopefully, the end is only the beginning.
Meanwhile, here are some spoilers for season ender of Moonlight.

You'd think the CBS upfront presentation would be pretty dull whit Wednesday. With the sheer volume of successful crime procedurals (the CSI franchise, NCIS, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, etc) it's hard to believe there's any room on the schedule for new shows. Nonetheless, Variety reports that CBS has ordered six new shows for its 2008-2009 season, including four hour-long dramas. And while How I Met Your Mother is safe (thanks, one assumes, to the Britney bump), the amount of dramas is very, very bad news for Moonlight.

Previously on Moonlight: Beth quit her job at BuzzWire and asked Josef to kill a paparazzo who knew Mick's secret. New ADA Ben Talbot, however, had already received the incriminating photos.
Beth (Sophia Myles) starts the day meeting with Ben, who wants her help on an abducted kid because she wrote two stories on similar incidents in the past year. Meanwhile, Josef (Jason Dohring) and Mick get back to Josef's pad after a busy day of couch shopping. That is a scene I am furious we didn't get to see. A news report on the abduction comes on the TV and Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) is quite interested in it. He runs into Beth at the scene and says he grew up in that neighborhood.

Last week on Moonlight, Beth received an e-mail from a photographer containing the photos of Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) being hit by the car and walking away. The photographer tried to blackmail her, telling her if she doesn't make sure he gets all of Buzzwire's exclusives from now on, he'll stalk and expose Mick. Fearing that Mick would leave town once exposed, Beth (Sophia Myles) asked Josef (Jason Dohring) to “handle it,” reasoning that Mick has protected her and saved her many times and she's just returning the favor. Although Josef already took care of the photographer, copies of the photos of Mick being hit by the car had already been sent to ADA Talbot (Eric Winter).
This week, paranormal romance continues in Moonlight's penultimate episode called “What's Left Behind.” Read on for spoilers.

Men In Trees has been canceled. The Anne Heche-led series has had its fair share of ups and downs over its short life. It has had its moments (especially when placed after Grey's Anatomy on the schedule) but Men In Trees turned into one of those shows that suffered from schizophrenic scheduling, ABC moving it all around its prime time landscape, as well as keeping it off the air for long stretches of time. Now, it is gone for good. The Hollywood Reporter took a look at a number of so-called “on the bubble” shows today and their conclusions are somewhat surprising. Keep reading to find out the possible (probable, maybe) fates of Reaper, Moonlight, Boston Legal and more.

Previously on Moonlight: Mick was temporarily human, but then had Josef turn him back into a vampire to save Beth. Beth's boss at BuzzWire died and Ben Talbot replaced her dead boyfriend as the new ADA.
Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) is taken for a ride by some sexy young thing with a need for speed as she outmaneuvers some SUVs. Meanwhile, Ben takes Beth (Sophia Myles) to lunch since he's still trying to understand how Mick and Josef saved them in the last episode. Mick's fast car arrives at the restaurant, and we learn the woman is Tierney, some hot young celebrity being stalked by the paparazzi.
