As BuddyTV reported previously, July 30 marks the return date of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The highlights of the second season include new housewife Kandi Burruss juggling motherhood, planning a wedding with fiancé AJ and launching a solo music career; Kim Kolciak enjoying the single life while also deciding to create her own line of wigs; Lisa Wu Hartwell launching a new clothing line and thinking about having another child; Sheree Whitfield concentrating more on her clothing line by preparing a fashion show; and NeNe Leakes launching an event for women against domestic violence and working on her new book, Never Make the Same Mistake Twice.

Nene Leakes has dished out about the new season, as well as her new book, which spares a few pages for her other Atlanta housewives co-stars, in an interview with S2S magazine.

Never Make the Same Mistake Twice, which is being published by Simon & Schuster, has chapters about experiences Nene’s been through, like being a single mother and escaping an abusive relationship.

“I talk about my relationship with Sheree [Whitfield],” Nene told S2S. “I pride myself on being a very good judge of character, and some of the things that we went through, I didn’t see them coming.”

Nene also sheds light on her friendship with Kim Zolciak, and her sentiments about the fact that the aspiring singer dates married men.

“I talk about it very openly…and she makes no excuses for it,” she said.

“I’m really just trying to build a brand, and it’s really important,” said Nene, whose book hits store shelves in August 11.  “I want longevity, I don’t want to just be a reality star. You know, I was a business woman when they found me and I want to continue to be a business woman.”
