Notice the question is “Who should win?” not “Who will win?” Those questions should be one and the same, but with what we've seen from
The Next Great American Band
's
voting audience this year, I really have no idea which band is going to win. None. Since they haven't shown us who the bottom two or bottom three bands have been in the voting at any point this season, there are no informed predictions we can make regarding tomorrow's final outcome. It's between
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra
,
Sixwire
and
The Clark Brothers
. Viewers are split, but there is one band that has stood out above all others on
The Next Great American Band.
And that band is The Clark Brothers. They are the most unique, most talented, most potential filled band on
The Next Great American Band
. They have consistently given the best performances over the course of the season. They are the most deserving band.
I know there is a large group of Denver supporters out there who will stop at nothing to tell anyone who'll listen that Denver is the best band in the world, are already successful recording artists and have the most potential to become the biggest, most successful band the world has ever known. Besides the fact that none of this is true, Denver is wholly undeserving of winning and all one has to do is look at their various performances to realize this. This isn't to say they won't win. There's a very good chance that the Denver loyalists voted last Friday in significant numbers and will give Denver the victory. For the sake of justice, I sincerely hope this isn't true. I've harped on and on about why Denver isn't all that great of a band and any album they produce will not be commercially viable, but such sentiments are lost on the voters.
Sixwire is almost as deserving as The Clark Brothers and may even be more poised for commercial success than The Brothers. However, The Clark Brothers were simply better than Sixwire over the course of the season. Sixwire, though, may be more likely to pull off the victory tomorrow night than The Clark Brothers. If this happens, that's fine, because I fully believe that Sixwire is capable of putting out a solid album with the potential to light up the country music charts.
Final Predictions:
Sixwire will win, but The Clark Brothers should win. What do you think?
Who should win The Next Great American Band?
Sixwire
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra
The Clark Brothers
