Jennifer is the winner! Last night, on The Bachelor: Rome Season Finale, Prince Lorenzo Borghese chose Jennifer, a teacher from Florida as this year’s winner of The Bachelor. Jennifer beat out twenty-three year old publicist Sadie for the victory in what some are viewing as an upset. Unfortunately, Prince Lorenzo didn’t formally propose to Jennifer, claiming that he wanted to take some time to see if their relationship was real. Forgetting the fact that Prince Lorenzo grew up in New York and doesn’t speak Italian, yet is an Italian Prince, this Bachelor season seemed to be beloved by fans. At least the ones I know. But, what I want to know is this: did the Prince make the right choice? Was Jennifer better than Sadie?
There are rumors all over the internet that Lorenzo and Jennifer have already called it quits, which would make The Bachelor 0-9 in their match-making attempts. Is there a solution to this, or is it simply inevitable? I believe that, in order to make The Bachelor choose his actual perfect match, the producers must cast women of perfectly equal attractiveness. The playing field must be leveled. Otherwise, The Bachelor is going to continue to only focus on picking off the less attractive contestants early in the season. If every woman is hot, then The Bachelor can focus on the things that really matter. Like horseback riding. At the end of last night’s The Bachelor: Rome Finale, ABC announced that next season’s Bachelor will be Lieutenant Andy Baldwin.
